Data & privacy
This page describes the current experimental version of ANOBTC. The name is not a promise of anonymity or privacy.
Wallet data
The recovery phrase and private keys are created or restored in your browser. ANOBTC derives a Bitcoin mainnet bech32 address (BIP84), encrypts a local wallet copy with your password, and stores it in the browser's local storage. While unlocked, keys are accessible to the page's JavaScript. The recovery phrase and private key are not sent to the provider; when you send, the signed transaction is broadcast through it. If site data is cleared or the recovery phrase is lost, the wallet may be impossible to restore.
Network requests and the public blockchain
To retrieve a BTC balance, the browser requests data from the public mempool.space API. The provider may see your IP address and the Bitcoin address being checked. Bitcoin addresses, balances, and transaction history are public. ANOBTC does not hide this information and is not an anonymization service.
Hosting and logs
The site is hosted on Azure App Service. The app has no accounts, database, advertising trackers, or analytics scripts; App Service application and web-server logs are disabled. The hosting provider and network operators may still process connection metadata under their terms and legal obligations.
Delete the local backup
Unlock the wallet, press the lock button, and choose “Delete the encrypted backup from this device.” This does not remove published blockchain transactions or replace safe storage of your recovery phrase.
Do not use with valuable funds
ANOBTC is an experimental Bitcoin wallet that has not been independently audited. You can create or restore a wallet, get a Bitcoin mainnet address, check its balance, and send BTC. Verify transaction details before sending. Do not use a phrase that controls valuable funds or store significant amounts here.
